Objective :

The objective of this assignment is to develop a cohesive and professional personal brand identity that reflects your unique design style, strengths, and career aspirations as a future graphic designer. You will create a visual identity system that effectively communicates your personality and skills to potential clients or employers.

Description :
The goal of the brand identity creation is to explicitly convey the values, the personality of the brand and emotional appeal of the brand to the target audience. Good brand identity is used to create acknowledgment, emotional attachment, and provide a stable message that depicts comfort, trust and desired user experience at all touch points.

Inspiration :
Brand identity is a concept that involves visual and conceptual dimension that signify the personality and values of a brand. It encompasses elements like logo, color scheme, typography and the overall visual expression which then combine to generate a unified and familiar image. An appropriate brand image can be used to convey the intended feeling and emotion so that the audiences can associate with the brand and know what the brand is all about in an easy manner.

Moodboard :
The background blue color of the moodboard is soft to provide the impression of comfort, relaxation and calmness. Soft blue also comes with the sense of calmness and relaxation, which results in a calming visual effect. The koala is part of the brand image as it is a significant part of the brand since it means comfort, rest and relaxed lifestyle. The koala is known to sleep a lot and this is why the product portrays the warm and relaxing nature of the brand, which explains why it is a warm and approachable image.



The colour moodboard will include: a1b384, d3c4b0, 231f20 and fff. The light green color (#a1b384) will create the effect of calmness, comfort, and naturalness, whereas the warm beige color (#d3c4b0) will give it the appearance of warmth and softness. Providing contrast and enhancing visual clarity is done using black (#231f20), whereas balance and a minimal and clean appearance is done using white (#ffffff). The combination of these colours makes a warm, relaxing, and balanced appearance.





DESIGN FOR LOGO :
The hand drawing was chosen as a starting point of design to allow ideas to be free and be creative. The visual reference platform was Pinterest, which was utilized to find inspiration and pinpoint useful styles and elements. According to such sources, several sketches were made individually as an experiment to see how the shapes and ideas worked. The given hand-drawing technique was an iterative process that facilitated the creation of more innovative ideas and optimization of the final design path.

Digital Drawing Process (Adobe Illustrator):

Step 1:
The selected hand-drawn sketch was photographed clearly to capture all details of the drawing.

Step 2:
The photo of the sketch was imported into Adobe Illustrator and placed on a new artboard.

Step 3:
The opacity of the sketch layer was reduced, and the layer was locked to make tracing easier.

Step 4:
A new layer was created above the sketch layer for digital tracing.

Step 5:
The Pen Tool was used to carefully trace the outlines of the drawing, following the original hand-drawn lines.



Step 6:
Anchor points and curves were adjusted to refine the shapes and ensure smooth, clean lines.

Step 7:
Stroke thickness and line consistency were adjusted to improve visual clarity.

Step 8:
Colors were applied based on the chosen moodboard, maintaining a soft and cohesive visual style.



Step 9:
Final adjustments were made to alignment, spacing, and details to enhance the overall appearance.

Step 10:
The completed digital drawing was reviewed and saved in the appropriate file formats for final use.



SOCIAL MEDIA BANNER



The social media banner has been designed on Canva which has provided a simple and adaptable process of digital designing. To retain a consistent and comfortable brand image, the banner uses the colour moodboard, as well as visual aspects of the brand, which include the koala and soft calming colours. The arrangement of the layout, the typography treatment, and the use of colours were done with Canva to make the final banner visually appealing, clear, and in line with the personality of the brand.

CONCLUSION
The design process successfully transformed initial ideas into a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity. Starting from hand-drawn sketches inspired by personal interests and a cozy theme, ideas were refined and digitized using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring precision and creativity. The colour moodboard and koala motif strengthened the brand’s calming and friendly personality, while Canva was used to create consistent social media banners. Overall, the process demonstrates a thoughtful approach to combining personal inspiration, creativity, and digital tools to build a clear and memorable brand identity.
